Montessori Academy's Parent Expectations

Parent Expectations

Parent Night:

A yearly mandatory parent education night is held for each program at the beginning of every school year. At least one parent from each family is expected to attend.

Parents and Patrons Organization:

Montessori Academy has a very active parent Parents and Patrons Organization (PPO). This support organization provides a chance for parents to get to know each other better while they accomplish meaningful goals to benefit the Academy's children and teachers.

All Montessori Academy families are encouraged to participate in at least one Montessori Academy PPO committee or activity during the school year. Projects and activities that parents can participate in and help to organize include:

  • Fall Picnic

  • Campus Clean-up Days

  • Family Winter Carnival

  • Spring Dinner Dance

  • Parent Education Seminars

  • Teach Recognition Luncheon

  • Montessori Logo Clothing Design & Sales

  • Loyalty Day Parade

Annual Investment:

In lieu of many different fund raising drives throughout the year, parents are encouraged to make an annual investment. Funds are deposited directly into our building fund to support large maintenance projects such as: roof repair, driveway maintenance, new playground equipment, etc. Montessori Academy is a private, not-for-profit school, so all contributions are tax deductible.
